Buses, Trains, Ferries
Transperth, the public transport provider in the Perth metro area, operates bus, train and ferry services in and around the city. Individual tickets can be purchased when entering any train station or from bus drivers. City bus, train and ferry information is available from the Transperth website.
Free Transit Zone
All public buses in the central city area operate under a Free Transit Zone whereby passengers can travel on any Transperth bus for free, as often as they want as long as they embark and disembark within the city boundaries. Look for the red FTZ logo on bus stops to identify free travel boundaries.
Transperth also offers a Central Area Transit (CAT) service, consisting of high frequency bus services to help you get around easily with minimum hassle and waiting. CAT buses provide a free and wheelchair accessible service in the city, operating on red, blue and yellow routes.
